Circular Economy Transition in Flanders
[collaboration with Julie Marin]
A Circular Economy is a regenerative system in which degraded flows of materials & energy we now see as waste, are reused as a resource. This project was focused on creating a map supporting the doctoral dissertation of Julie Marin concerning the potential for a Circular Economy in North-East Flanders.
The map shows the potential of the (urban) landscape to be used in a Circular Economy. This potential can range from the general suitability of an area to extract thermal energy, to the specific location of a landfill that could be mined for raw materials.
